The need to persuade a person in discourse is ubiquitous in Ayi Kwei Armah’s The Beautyful Ones Are Not Yet Born. But, in the framework of this work, emphasis will be laid on discourse managing skills. That is, in which way one’s style and innovations in creating meaning complies with identity. The rein, the present discussion aims to display Ayi kwei’s linguistic ways of increasing others’ mind adherence to theses presented to their assent.
